Subconscious

I read an article last week about lucid dreaming, or realizing that you are dreaming while you dream. Some people can control their dreams once they realize this. Normally, I would think that something like this was weird and absurd and wouldn’t give it a second thought. However, the article said that control of dreams can help fiction writers visualize the worlds that they create in their stories. Some writers claim that they are able to talk to their characters and gain information about their thoughts, emotions, and relationships with other characters. Needless to say, this was intriguing to me.
But before I could even try this to see if it was possible, I had to attempt to remember more of my dreams. What’s the point of talking to your characters if you can’t remember the conversation come morning? I have found that simply by intending to remember my dreams, I have been able to do so. (No luck on the remembering that I am dreaming while I am dreaming so far.)
Remembering more of my dreams has been rather… odd. I apparently think about things subconsciously that I would rather not think about consciously. I was shocking to realize at first, and a bit frightening. I attributed the first instance of this to me having though off something similar the day before, but now I wonder if that had anything to do with it. Last night I dreamt about people who I haven’t talked to in years and certainly haven’t thought of for months. All these things that I have tried so hard to forget… I guess I haven’t escaped them in my mind at all.

I love Yann Teirsen so much!

It has a melodica in it!

He's such a brilliant composer!

( I just thought I would share this with you.)

Bye!

"Without you, today's emotions would be the scurf of yesterday's."
Hummm.. interesting. It does sound very French.

Which never ceaseth to enlarge itself,
Till by broad spreading it disperses to naught.

I guess I must smell like an old woman, then.

(I just recently got a perfume that smells like roses.)

I like how it smells here after it rains. It doesn't smell like the rain anywhere else.

And which dryer sheet would that be?

I always thought that the old woman/rose smell was nice. Sort of comforting I guess. It reminds me of my grandma, actually. But in a good way, not an old lady way.

The rain here is more bitter smelling, in other places its more sweet or flowery. In Hawaii it was sort of fruity smelling...

As for the dryer sheet, it was some variety of Bounce.

It is bitter smelling, isn't it?
Well, it's actually a plant that makes that smell, not the rain...
It's a pretty overpowering scent... And it's just from a plant!
(What a smelly, little plant.)

I really like how the rain smells in forests, though. (The White Mountains especially!)

Hmmmm...
Have you ever searched for the meaning in your dreams?

So odd...
My dreams actually make sense when I look at the meaning of them...

Yes... creosote. A smelly little plant indeed.

I always try to figure out what my dreams mean. Althought, I think they are usually just random jumblings of unrelated things in my head.

But sometimes, my dreams do have meaning. Things do make more sense then, good or bad.

What do you mean, thought? Is something bothering you?

My dreams are very, very jumbled...
The different meanings don't seem to match up at all!

However, my own dreams aren't bothering me.
It's someone else's recurring dream that is.
And it's not even a bother... the thought of it is actually more... fascinating, perhaps?

Anyhow, the thought happened to be on my mind...
So I just randomly decided on bringing it up.
